I’m a big fan of Chase & Status and Tinie Tempah, so what an awesome piece of luck that Tinie has collaborated on this latest release (out this week – 18th July) with Chase & Status (it makes up for Tinie’s collaboration with JLS!).
Tinie raps in his own unique style over a Chase & Status soundtrack which is a slower drum & bass sound that is lighter than their usual DnB or dubstep sound, but very good nonetheless.
It’s taken from their No More Idols album and is one of the stand out tracks from that, so I hope this does well in the charts in the way it deserves.
When offered a promo I was hoping to hear what some of the remixes were like as there’s some interesting and I suspect much harder remixes available from 16Bit and Delta Heavy as well as a version from Wretch32, but sadly I only got sent the Radio Edit, but from the iTunes samples I’ve heard they all sound rather tasty!
Chase & Status fans should look out for them at festivals and on tour (although get those tickets quickly as they’re selling out fast):

Chase & Status’s next track (from their No More Idols album) will be Hitz featuring Tinie Tempah, released on 18th July. The digital bundle, available on iTunes, will include the official single, an exclusive remix featuring Wretch 32 and additional remixes by 16Bit and Delta Heavy.
On April 8th, Radio 1 will celebrate two decades of Pete Tong’s Radio 1 dance show, with a full 12 hours of programming which will include the top 20 dance tracks of the last 20 years, a three hour recorded session hosted by Pete (which will include music from Groove Armada, Chase & Status, to name just a few) as well as studio take-over from The Chemical Brothers.
There will also be a special Pete Tong Essential Mix, and the 12 hours will be rounded off with an “A-Z of Pete Tong” hosted by Rob Da Bank
