Australian duo Diafrix (MCs Azmarino and Momo) hit the UK music scene with “Simple Man”, the first from their upcoming album “Pocketful of Dreams”.

The track is a nice upbeat hip hop tune (sort of B.o.B. style) and features the vocals of Daniel Merriweather. In fact, based on Merriweathers previous tracks, you’d easily mistake this as one of his track – it has that kind of sound.

Pleasant enough if you like your hip hop light hearted and upbeat.

Out on 26th September on Illusive Sounds.

You know what to expect with Daniel Merriweather. Vocals that will remind you of the track he did with Mark Ronson and some funky poptastic soundtracks.

This doesn’t mean though that there is nothing to report here. Whilst the original mix wouldn’t have got a mention on this site on it’s own (not really being a dance track) the CD does come with a couple of mixes. The first is a Joey Negro classic mix with big house beats but remaining the underlying drums and of course the vocals, whilst the Sticky remix has a dancehall flavour.
