Marty Party album out 30th and US tour dates announced

“Six Shots of Jameson”, the new album from glitch-hop artist and producer MartyParty will be announced on 30th January. The album has 12 tracks and I suspect will be more MartyParty-warped beats. Tracklisting:

MartyParty free download indicates new album coming

Glitch-hop favourite, Marty Party, has released the first single from his forthcoming album “Six Shots of Jameson” (due 30th January).

“Just Because of You” though isn’t the glitch-hop track you’d expect. Whilst still having a nice bass line and beat, it’s a little more subtle and slower than what we’ve come to expect.

Tasty piece of free dubstep

DJs MartyParty and Minnesota have collaborated as DeathStar on an EP called Ultraviolet Halo which is available for free download.

Check it out, it’s pretty good, features some nice melodic dubstep production and samples and includes a remix of Wiz Khalif “On My Level”

Review: MartyParty – Purple and free download

Purple is the debut release from South African MartyParty. The 13 track album is a dubstep trip featuring deep beats, heavy bass and of course that dubstep grind – that said it’s very eclectic with beeps and fast drum beats in some places and very melodic in others, but the album kicks off as it means to go on with the opening track “Eggs and Toast”. An excellent dubstep collection.

I found some of the tracks reminded me of some of Borgore’s work, so if you’re into his music then you’re bound to like this.
